A Mother's Day Poem

Sometimes you get discouraged
Because I am so small,
And always leave my fingerprints
On furniture and walls.
But everyday I'm growing.
I'll be grown up someday,
And all those tiny fingerprints
Will surely fade away.
So here's a little handprint.
Just so you can recall
Exactly how my fingers looked
When I was very small.

This poem was part of a booklet Meike made for me for Mother's Day. Under the poem was her handprint in purple. Inside the booklet was:

All About My Mother
By Meike
What is your mother's name? Heidi
How old is she? I think she's 6.
How big is she? as big as Daddy
Where does your mother work? at home. She helps my sister learn.
What is her favorite color? red
What is her favorite food? tomato
What is her favorite story? The Hobbit
What does your mom do best? She's good at washing the dishes.
What would you like to tell your mom? I will give her a hug.
And last was:

If you could give your mom anything in the world for Mother's Day, what would it be?
A new purple dress, because I love her.
