The Exciting Surprise!

About two weeks ago, my husband I started talking about adding a new member to our family. No, not another child, a kitten! Zoe is constantly asking for a dog or cat. There are times she will ask us several times a day for weeks on end if we can get her a pet. We had hoped to wait until we moved but since it does not seem we will be moving any time soon (we took it off the market almost a year ago) we started talking again. We weren't completely sure when we would find a kitten we would like, so we kept it a secret. The looks on their faces were priceless and so worth the secret! He was immediately named Snowball but we usually call him Snowy. Our new kitten is adjusting well to the chaos of our family. Jaxon pushes him around in his dump truck and then dumps him out and Zoe wraps him up in blankets and treats him like a baby. He is very playful, almost too playful at times! There is nothing like being attacked by a kitten at 5 am in the morning. He seems to think my hair is the best toy ever!

I almost forgot to mention that the girls were not home when Snowball was dropped off. Jaxon was and had lots of time to play with him before his sisters came home. He was a little upset in the picture because I kept him out of the room. I wanted to take a picture of their reaction and I knew Jaxon would have chased Snowball off before the girls could see Snowball.
