New Year's Eve

It's a miracle! We actually planned out the day instead of sitting in front of the television all day watching the Disney Channel. Granted we do not have satellite or cable at the moment so watching television all night was not an option. Other than a sick little girl, I think we had a good time. We did have to cut the night short for the two little ones.

I would like to thank all the FIAR (Five in a Row) moms that shared what they have done for New Years Eve in the past and what they planned this year. I took a lot of the ideas and worked them into what would work for our family.

We made party hats and noise makers (a lot more fun and cuter, in my opinion, than those boxes that I could have bought from the store), played games, drank hot chocolate with a scoop of ice cream, ate pizza, watched The Muppets Take Manhattan and ate popcorn. I had more planned but since little girl was sick and little boy was "falling" off the couch trying to add an ER visit to our plans, we decided bed was a good idea. The older girls stayed up with us and we all watched Prince Caspian without the normal interruptions. That was very nice!

There were several pictures taken of a certain mother with the hat she made but I think I will save them for our family only. Besides, the pictures do not show the actual design of the hat. That's my story and I'm sticking with it!
