Wonder what the neighbors thought?
Maddy has been working on her Beyond Five in a Row lessons on Helen Keller this past week. Today read chapter 3 and worked on a vibration experiment. Helen Keller was both blind and deaf and in the chapter we read today we learned that even though Helen couldn't hear she could feel vibrations. Our experiment today had to do with stereo speakers, rice, and the volume of music. As we increased the volume of music, Jaxon was jumping up and down dancing, the girls were gathered around the speakers feeling and watching and all I could do was wonder if the neighbors could hear and what they were thinking if they could hear. Hopefully, if they could hear, they didn't know it was coming from our house!

Oh how fun!! I bet the kids had a blast. When my girls were younger we did a lot of fun stuff like that. One time we were studying how the Star Spangled Flag was made (it flew at Fort McHenry). We were outside roping out how big it was - it was a BIG flag. The neighbors came over to see what was up.. A fun testimony to homeschooling!! :-)
I looove that type of learning! I have always loved the fact that Helen Keller is from my state and when the AL state quater came out, it was of Helen Keller! Very cool that y'all are learning about her!
LOL! I have had quit a few of those "I wonder what the neighbors are thinking" moments in the history of our homeschooling.
